Under Siege Trailer

   Posted by: Pina   in videos

Hello everyone.
My name is Filipe Pina and I am the Producer for Under Siege.

First of all let me apologize for the long delay in updating our Developers Diary but we are extremely focused on our game and time to post on the internet doesn’t come often. Anyway, with E3 still going we decided that it was time to show a sneak peak into Under Siege in the form of a trailer.

Please keep in mind that this was recorded using a work in progress build, so lots of things are going to look better and better as we start to optimize everything.

We show a new race and one of the first Bosses you will encounter in the game. The new race will be shown and explained on our next post next week!

Here are some more screenshots.

    Very nice!! Mechs! Animals!!

But still I don’t think it’s a good idea to make it downloadable only game. In Europe people (overall) don’t own a Credit Card, and there are no PSN cards in Europe. This game needs The USA and Asia to be a succes.

Or, you guys should talk to sony about PSN cards for europe! Please do the last option.

Awesome. This is becoming my game-to-buy this year. Though I don’t know how a gigantic robot would be doing in a Medieval Time Period but if it makes sense, I’ll take it. I would have prefered a dragon or a living beast but that’s just a minor discomfort.

Don’t worry, “Here be dragons” as well :)

    Dear Seedstudios,

Thanks for finally showing gameplay! I realize your guys are busy, but we appreciate updates to see your unique game! I really like idea of adding bosses for the single player game. I hope we could also, use them in the multiplayer as well. The environments are look terrific!

I look forward for more updates and some information on what the user generated content will be. This is definitely a day one purchase for me!

That giant mech-like boss doesn’t really mesh with the medieval setting you have going on. How about making it look like it is made from stone?

Looks great. I have to agree about the mech. A stone or wooden look might suit the game-world view more.

Mech looks out of place, but…

Anyway, I’m looking forward to this! Waaah! Come on! We don’t know enough about this game.

The only thing I ask for is a later disc release. MY stupid 20 gb PS3 has no wifi which is a huge discomfort to me. I either need a ethernet cable as long as my house or a game adaptor which is not my favorite solution. Please??

It’s on PSN and not on disc, sorry.

I’m really excited about this game. I’m a huge RTS fan. I hope competitive multiplayer can support at least up to 8 players (4 vs 4) if not more similar to Warcraft 3.

Great job on this game, can’t wait to play it!

Since this game is a RTT (real-time tactics) game, how will you be able to replenish your troops? Can it be done during missions or can it only be done after missions?

Also, would also agree with the other posters that maybe your robotic boss could you changed to metal or stone golem to keep with the fantasy theme.

    Thanks!

    Nice and awesome sneak-peek,
those “knight-ish” humans were all runing in a sincronized maner making them a bit “unrealistic”… and those bazooka’s-man skin look too saturated…
finally, that mecha need to move and attack like it’s powerfull…

i hope that there will be a techtree and that you can take your veteran units tthe next level and if there would be a voice control and maybe sixaxis controfor for special abilitys or taking cover, the game could stand in a line with the great pc strategy games

    Boas!

The choice for digital publishing has it’s advantages for a small developer house like us.
We also like the physical box but there are some advantages of publishing and for Under Siege it is a perfect fit.

Por contraste a minha colecção de K7s de ZX Spectrum tá numa caixa a apanhar pó e de certeza que nenhum jogo carrega.

Some advice I would give to the development team is.. up the population limit abit. Its nice to have a game that looks fantastic and play alright.. but games like Warcraft 3, Spellforce and Halo Wars imo suffered because the stories and such depicted epic battles.. but the in game population limit restricted it to feel like small village skirmish. The theme is great and the graphics fantastic, but I’d like to be able to see around 500 creatable (not placed for the sake of a trailer) units on screen. I think such a number is acceptable, because when you think of it… there werent many wars fought with just a handful of soldiers.
